This project involved the reconstruction and fairing of a yacht garage door using Awlgrip epoxy-based products.

The epoxy fairing process was carried out in multiple controlled stages, including surface preparation, epoxy filler application, fairing, and refinement.

Awlgrip-approved materials and procedures were followed to ensure optimal adhesion, durability, and surface consistency prior to final paint application.

Client: Canelo Yacht.

Category: Garage Door Restoration.

Date:  2022.

Surface Assessment & Preparation

Initial inspection and surface evaluation to identify imperfections, previous repairs, and alignment issues.
Proper masking and mechanical sanding were performed to ensure optimal adhesion.

Epoxy Fairing Application (Awlgrip)

Application of Awlgrip epoxy fairing compounds in controlled stages to rebuild surface geometry and correct irregularities.
Thickness and curing times were carefully managed.

Fairing & Surface Refinement

Progressive fairing and sanding phases were executed to achieve a smooth, continuous surface.
Precision tools and guides were used to maintain correct lines and symmetry.

Final Preparation for Paint Systems

Final surface conditioning completed to meet Awlgrip specifications, ensuring readiness for high-end marine paint application and long-term durability.
